Our team is on hand at reception to answer any questions you may have and to keep you up to date with the 2026 campsite news.
Arrival and departure times
Do you want to come to the campsite but don’t know when you can arrive? Want to arrive late? All the answers are here.
Without reservation:
- Camping with a tent, caravan or motorhome
Arrivals are daily between 2:30 pm and 7 pm (2 pm to 7:30 pm in July and August).
- For rent
Same-day rentals are available subject to availability and the general rental conditions.
With reservation:

Arrivals are between 4 pm and 7 pm (7:30 pm in July and August). You can choose your day of arrival and departure during April, May, June and September. From July and August onwards, arrivals and departures are primarily on Saturdays, except for Coco Sweet and tent lodges, where you can arrive on the day of your choice!
All rental departures must take place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. after inventory.
All camping departures are between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
If you wish to arrive later than the usual time, please inform reception as soon as possible: an arrangement will be made to make the keys available to you. Please note: no vehicles are allowed on the campsite after 10 pm. All rental departures are subject to an inventory of fixtures.
Mobile-home rentals and unusual rentals: choose your arrival and departure days
One of the great things about camping Val de Boutonne is the flexibility of arrival and departure days! No more compulsory Saturdays – you’re in control of your vacation schedule.
- Off-season (April, May, June, September): you are free to choose your day of arrival and departure for all rentals, including mobile homes. Minimum stay of two nights in mobile homes in low season.
- High season (July and August): mobile-home arrivals and departures are primarily on Saturdays. However, our unusual accommodation are available every day of the week, all season long!

Motorhome stopover in Charente-Maritime
Are you exploring the Charente-Maritime region? Stop off at the Val de Boutonne campsite in Saint-Jean-d’Angély, at the crossroads of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes and Cognac. Ideally located 3 km from exit 34 of the A10 freeway, the campsite is an ideal stopover for visiting the major tourist sites on the Atlantic coast. Shady pitches, renovated sanitary facilities and all the services of a 3-star campsite await you for a night or more!
How to get to Val de Boutonne campsite
The campsite is ideally located less than an hour from the major tourist and historical sites of the Poitou-Charentes region. You’ll be able to visit Saint-Jean-d’Angély, located in the heart of the Boutonne region, and the surrounding area, then head for the nearby towns to discover their heritage and tourist attractions.

By car:
– from La Rochelle and Rochefort: the D137 then the 739 or the N11 then the D939
– from Niort: the A10 freeway or the D150

A10 freeway: exit 34 Saint-Jean-d’Angély, five minutes from the campsite
Follow signs for Saint-Jean-d’Angély from the traffic circle at the freeway exit.
Next traffic circle, exit at Saint-Jean-d’Angély Ouest and follow signs for Hôpital.
Take the first right after the hospital parking lot, avenue du Port, and just before the bridge, turn right onto Quai de Bernouet, with the campsite at the end.
By train :

Shops and services accessible from the campsite
Camping Val de Boutonne is ideally located in the heart of Saint-Jean-d’Angély, just a stone’s throw from the historic town center. Everything is easily accessible from the Quai de Bernouet, on foot or by bike:
- Downtown with its stores, boutiques and restaurants: 15 minutes on foot
- Downtown bakeries for a good start to the day
- Local market on Wednesdays and Saturdays – ideal for discovering the flavors and local products of the Saintonge region. Splendid covered market!
- Supermarket 5 minutes’ drive
And to make sure you have everything you need on site, the campsite offers 3-star services, including a grocery corner and bread and pastries baked on site every morning in high season.
